Our Thoughts

One evening in November, my husband and I decided to test the new App Blaster I had received to review.   I was greatly disappointed that my iPod won’t work on this device – I have a 3rd generation…  but we were able to test it with my husband iPhone.12-16-2011 2-46-14 PM

We had downloaded the free games available on iTunes for the AppBlaster.   The games available are Alien Attack, Overkill, Marine Sharpshooter, Skeet Shooter and Tin Can Alley however some of them you will have to purchase... More games will be coming soon as well!

So like I was saying, we tried the free ones we had found.   The first game we tried was Tin Can Alley which objective is to bring the cans down in the game.    The device is easy to use and when you use it it will hit whatever you want to bring down.   My husband thought it was ingenious but it was very repetitive at one point for him.   He didn’t see the challenge behind it.

Then I uploaded the Alien Attack and what a surprised this game was.    You have to shot aliens that are invading nothing less than your own environment. With the help of the built-in camera on the iPhone/iPod touch, you will see where you are located and the aliens are attacking you.   Turn around and shoot the aliens.  The game was way more fun than the previous one we tried…   And my husband was impressed with the creativity of it and the fact that they thought of using your own environment incorporated in the game.

Bottom line, we had a blast –literally – trying the AppBlaster especially with the Alien Attack game.   I am looking forward to play more with it and see the face of the kids when we will unwrap this device on Christmas day!

Both my husband and I are impressed with it though not all the games are as exciting as Alien Attack.     I look forward to see what other games will be available for the AppBlaster next year!

Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4th generation.

The AppBlaster is available for purchase at BestBuy, WalMart and ToysRUs.
