March Break with Hasbro

March Break is here and some might be wondering how they could entertain their kids during the week.  Hasbro has a tons of ideas to help you pass the days smoothly while your kids are at home.

One of my favorite items when I was a little girl was definitively the Easy Bake oven.   I am please that Hasbro is still making them and that there is no light bulbs involved anymore.   Let your child explore her talent in baking and cooking treats for family members this week.   I think the Easy Bake oven is a wonderful item to let your little girl learn to follow instructions and learn to create fun food.   In a way my old Easy Bake oven allowed me to learn to be more efficient while baking and creating fun cakes for my parents.   The oven comes with baking pan, cupcake pan, pan pusher, chocolate chip cookie mix, red velvet cake mix, pink frosting mix, rainbow sugar crystals package, paper cupcake wraps and instructions/recipe booklet.   More items are also available at a store near you and if you want more recipes you can find some by simply googling Easy Bake oven recipes.

My daughter loved trying baking mini cupcakes for her brothers and father.   She enjoyed learning to baking these treats for them and using her own oven.   The Easy Bake oven is definitively a great gift for little girls and might be a springboard for a professional vocation in the future.   It’s an item that I was looking forward for her to have and I am delighted to supervise her baking since she isn’t quite the age to use it by herself.

 

If you have a child who love construction kits, I would like to suggest that you consider the KREO Transformers kits.  There kits will allow your boy to build an Optimus Prime robot and send him into the fray with his blade in hand.   You could also build a truck and use you KREON figures inside for a wild ride.   The 2-in-1 Beast Blade Optimus Prime construction set contains over 251 bricks and other pieces that will keep your son busy for quite some time. 

My boys loves anything and everything that is in the line of construction blocks.  They love Transformers and love discover new possibilities with KREO.  My only disappointment is that at this point in time you can not convert the truck into Optimus Prime.   I guess it would be a bit complicated to allow the transformation to occur when built.   In order to get the Optimus Prime you will have to destroy the truck and build the famous robot.   Knowing my boys, I suspect that they will keep Optimus Prime build up and make him fight against other creatures of their imagination.

Finally, as a last resort, I would like to suggest the Twister Rave Skip-It Game.   With spring in the air (have you smelled the change lately) and snow melting, I think that more and more little girls will invade the driveways and sidewalks with the jumping ropes and skipping toy.  Hasbro offers a new twist to an old game.   The longer you go, the more you’ll glow with this super-cool TWISTER Rave SKIP-IT game!    To play it’s very simple, put the hoop on one leg and swing the SKIP-IT while you hop over it.   The colors will glow as you skip, and when all 4 colors glow, you’ve made it!   There are over 20 light levels to skip through and four colors to bring color in your skipping.  

Okay I will be honest…. I find that this is definitively not a toy for indoors – unless you have nothing in your basement. But when I saw it I got transported back in time when I had a skip-it game. Oh the joy it was to jump and to make sure I didn’t hit to side of it while playing.  I could picture myself skipping in my parents rocky driveway or the street when I knew it was safe.   I also think this will make a great exercise tool for me when the snow will be melted in our backyard.   I wouldn’t be surprise that my kids and I held a little competition as well when the grass is dry.    I am quite excited about this item and look forward to use it soon.
