Our Thoughts

Every time my kids can grab this book, they will.    This book as well as other Star Wars books that can be found in this house are precious for my kids who are devouring them.   Who are my kids?

Alexandre – almost 10 (his birthday is later this month)IMG_6938

Dominic – 7

Jérémy –5 (he is the one proudly showing the book)

and Jasmine – 3

They have watched all the episodes of the first two seasons of Clone Wars.   They are playing constantly with Star Wars lego and even make their own battleships.   Even my little girl is passionate about it and her favourite character is Ahsoka Tano.

This book will provide all the information you need to know about the various characters of the Star Wars The Clone Wars series.    From Jedi Knights, Sith Lords, Bouty Hunters, Clone Troopers, robots and more, you will learn everything concerning a specific character.

470px-Ahsoka_TCWTake Ahsoka Tano for example. On her page, you will get statistics like the species, height, gender, alligiance, homeworld, weapons.   You can also read a small description of her character.   You learn more about how she came to become Anakin’s Padawan and see a full length image of her in the page.   On the full length image of Ahsoka, you get more information.   I have learned about her that the montrals (what is on top of her head) will grow as she matures and that the tattoos are part of her culture.    I was wondering why the Togrutas had differences between each other.  I guess it is normal as ourselves – humans – are different from one another…  *grin*

You also learn about her talents as well as her known companions.

Personally, I am happy that there is a strong female character in the main group of characters.  Besides I find it adorable when my daughter is taking the Ahsoka pose and is ready to fight the separatists.  She is adorable.

When asked what she wants to be when she is older, she answers

Ahsoka so I can fight with Fly Guy (which is the nickname that she gives Anakin Skywalker…)

And when she runs in the house and suddenly stops to speak to a make believe communicator on her arm, it is priceless…

This book will definitively provide hours of fun reading for a child who enjoys the Star Wars The Clone Wars television series.

As for us, we are waiting patiently to be able to purchase the third season when it comes out.   I suspect it won’t happen until the Fall.   Until then, my kids will be able to learn more about their beloved characters and the not-so-beloved ones.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia is available at your favourite bookstore, even amazon.ca.
