My Thoughts

Here’s a fun book for kids who loves the Star Wars movies. Not only will it keep your child busy for a few hours – as he/she reads and looks for the stickers, but he/she will also have numerous extra stickers to use anyway he/she wants (hopefully not on furniture or walls so I strongly suggest to purchase a notebook to collect the stickers or encourage the child to be creative with making a storyboard with them!). Star Wars is an iconic series in the movie world.   Even for us as a family we feel as though we need to watch them on an (almost) yearly basis.    Recently, we decided to watch them – once again – with all our kids ages 4 to 11.    We are enjoying them and even now I figure out something new in them.   We had a great discussion on why C3-PO had his memory wiped but not R2-D2.  Having this book, will allow your child to revisit the movies and even allow him/her to re-create the battles.

Using this sticker book is quite easy. Encourage your child to read the captions in the book, then turn to the sticker page and choose the picture that best fits in the space available. There are about 30 pages to fill with stickers and you will have many more pages at the end of the book to use any way you want.

The best past of the book is that the stickers can be stuck down and peeled off again. Though I don’t see why someone would do that… Personally, when I have found the sticker and where it goes I prefer to leave it there – after all the text goes with the sticker so why remove it? Also for extra fun, you will find numerous pages with extra stickers based on Star Wars The Clone Wars. Use them to create your own story board as a writing activity or to encourage your child when they are doing good work.

This is a fun book to give for your child at Christmas – especially if he likes Star Wars . It would make a nice surprise under the tree when they least expect it.
